Mrs O'Connor
Indigo Class Teacher
Staff
Mrs O’Connor, Mrs Costa and Miss Sketchley will be working in Indigo Class.
PE
PE this half term will be on Tuesday and Thursday. Children will need to come into school in their PE kits.
Snacks and Water
Children will need to bring a water bottle to school every day. Please ensure snacks are named. Snacks could include: a piece of fruit, vegetable sticks, cheese and crackers. We are a nut free school so please no nuts or sweets.
Communication
You will receive a weekly update from Indigo Team on a Friday via email. Please read this information carefully as we will share important information, changes and updates about our learning. You can find more information about what we are up to throughout the term in our long and medium term plan documents below.
Please refer to our Newtletter via email for regular whole school updates.
Home learning and Reading
Home Learning will be handed out every Thursday and checked the following Thursday. Regular home reading is key. Please encourage your child to record their home reading in their reading diary and we will check these on a weekly basis. We also urge you to check the reading diary to ensure your child is reading regularly and understands the text. Being a fluent reader is important but understanding the meaning of unknown words is crucial. Please encourage your child to ask for meanings of new or unfamiliar words so these can form part of their vocabulary.
So, what will the Autumn term bring? Well, we will be ‘Cosmic Explorers!’, travelling through space on a variety of adventures- This half term our voyage of Cosmic discovery will be mainly based on the book- ‘Cosmic’ by Frank Cottrell-Boyce. For other curriculum areas please see this term’s Medium Term Plan at the bottom of the webpage.
All that’s left to say is…
‘There can be no great accomplishment without risk.’
Neil Armstrong.
