Pear Tree Primary School

Pear Tree School - Being Our Best Selves

Welcome

As a leadership team, we are delighted to work in partnership with all stakeholders to ensure that everyone at Pear Tree can ‘Be Their Best Selves’.  We want our children to be proud of the school that they attend and to have that sense of belonging that they should have within the community.

The school holds its core values of honesty, resilience, individuality, tolerance and community at the center of everything it does and we want all associated with the school to strive for success through positive relationships. Our school benefits from parents and carers, who actively support in everything we strive to achieve. At Pear Tree, our PTA and Governors also provide a helping hand and work together with us as a school.

From our experiences of working in schools, we know that a successful and happy school depends on all of us working together. As parents and carers, you make an important contribution to your children’s achievements, and we are excited to build on the relationship between yourselves and the school.

With a school focus on the pupils learning and valuing differences, we celebrate the achievements of all at Pear Tree. Our high expectations of all ages and phases of our school lead to outcomes in reading, writing and maths that are consistently above the national average by the end of Key Stage 2.

Our unique location enhances our curriculum, providing woodland areas and generous open spaces where children learn through nature and access a wealth of sporting activities. Children in Years 2, 4, and 6 travel further afield for overnight visits where they experience a broad range of activities such as archery, canoeing and a visit to the historical city of York. Our comprehensive curriculum thoroughly prepares children for the next stage of their learning.

We will be holding a number of events over the coming year, including coffee mornings, drop-in sessions, meet and greets, productions, showcases and many more. We look forward to meeting many of you there. These meetings will take place at a number of different times in the hope that as many families as possible will have the opportunity to attend.

We always aim to be available before and after school, so please do say hello.

If you would like to find out more, we would be delighted to show you round at a time to suit you. To arrange an appointment, please contact our admin team on 01270 906120 or email on admin@peartree.cheshire.sch.uk

We look forward to working with you,

Mr Greasby and Mr Perry

I am extremely proud to be Chief Executive Officer of The Cornovii Trust, our trust of local schools. Pear Tree Primary School is a shining example within our trust, with strong values, fantastic children, caring and talented staff. Pear Tree’s aim of helping every child ‘to be their best selves’, underpins our approach to education and young people. We strive to make sure Pear Tree provides the right environment where everyone can learn, feel a sense of belonging, grow together and every child can thrive to be the best version of themselves. It is these underlying core principles that make Pear Tree a fabulous place and such a successful school.
