Happy Holidays

As another term draws to a close I wish all our families a very happy break. Thank you for the tremendous support you give to our school. Thank you for your help and feedback. We really appreciate when you let us know your thoughts and give school an opportunity to address things we could do better or differently. Please remember if you do have any worries or queries just call in and see your child's teacher.

It was good to see many of you at our Stay and Learn events this week. We will run them again but taking on your feedback will alter the format. We have now set the key dates for the summer term as parents have asked for them and sports day, leaver's assembly and other events are all listed below. We all return for the start of the summer term on Tuesday April 18th.

CEOPs Internet Safety Evening

The NEP Evening held on Tuesday at Brine Leas was very useful and links to a variety of resources for parents will be going on the school website over the Easter holidays. The 'think you know' website is one of the best sources of information. . Finally, in response to parental questions, Amy Fletcher our local CEOP police link officer said that one of the new very popular media sites for junior age children is '<>,' she warned that parents should check the parental controls on this app however as without these being set correctly, children can be put in potentially online dangerous situations

Lunches, Trips and Residentials

Can we please ask that all accounts are brought up to date as at 31st March 2017.

I’m afraid we need to make a few changes in the summer term, lunch money will be due in advance on a Monday, you can edit the amount you want to pay in School Money. For the next half term the amount due is £63.80, £11 per week or £2.20 per day. The sandwich option has proved popular so we will continue with this and have introduced a Sub Bar. A new menu will follow shortly and start in May.

Sadly with the declining school budget, we must try to reclaim the cost of all trips. If less than 85% of parents make the requested contribution then we will have to reconsider the financial viability of the event. If you are unable to pay or do not intend to, please let us know. Where your child is in receipt of free school meals or pupil premium funding then a discount may be made. Please email us confidentially at
