Teach your Parents Mornings
Pear Tree invite you to join us at our ‘Teach your Parents’ Morning’ on Monday March 27th for KS2 parents and for KS1 parents on Wednesday March 29th. Please come along and join in learning with your child.
Parenting with a Smile – Being a parent is the most important job we will ever do and it’s the hardest! Come and join us for a cup of tea and chat about what works well and to share top tips on being Mum or Dad. If you would like to join us, please let the office know 685155. Tuesday 7th March 6-7.15pm
World Book Day
Today has been World Book Day – we have enjoyed a special assembly and shared the day with Julia Donaldson and JK Rowling characters. It felt like a scene from Hogwarts. Your children all looked amazing; we really appreciate your enthusiasm in costume/prop provision.
Morrisons are having a competition and giving away £80 of book tokens to schools for winning designs of new book covers. So please get creative over the weekend and design a new book cover for your favourite book and return it to school with your name, class and age on the back.
From Monday 6th March a sandwich option will be available alongside the two hot dishes on offer as per the current menu. The children will be given a choice each day of tuna, cheese or ham.
Dinner money for the next half term is Year 3 and 6 £52.80, Year 4 £46.20 and year 5 £50.60. Please pay in advance via your School Money login, we will ask you to send your child with a packed lunch if arrears go over two weeks.
Key Stage One parents, as your child receives universal free school meals at the moment, we need to know if you qualify for any other funding that may be available to you and us. Please let myself or Mrs Nixon know .You can apply confidentially via Cheshire East website or call 0300 123 5012.
Sickness and head lice
Please respect our 48 hour rule on sickness, when you call the absence line please say why your child is ill so we can monitor which bugs are about. A reminder to keep long hair tied back, to reduce the spread of head lice.
Pear Tree Sports and Games
Year 3 & 4 children went to Camm Street Gymnasium before half term. They performed a set routine in front of judges, some as a team and some as individuals. We received 2nd and 3rd with the individuals and 2nd in the team.
