Red Class Newsletter 7.06.19

Date: 7th Jun 2019 @ 12:00pm

Dear Parents,

This week we have been reading books all about fish.  We have read ‘The Fish Who Could Wish’ and a range of ‘Rainbow Fish’ stories.  The children have written their own wishes, made fish out of tin foil and sharpie pens, CD fish, carried out a number of maths activities, counting fish scales, adding/taking away and doubling using mirrors.  We have written about what a good friend look like, started to sew our mini-beast felt cushions together and much more.

Next Week –

We will be learning about Sharks and carrying out a range of activities around this theme.

Monday – forest school we will be making Elder Bees

Tuesday – P.E and then we have a specialist Bee keeper coming in to teach us about the importance of Bees.

Friday – Yoga

Please send children in forest school clothes on Monday and P.E kits on Tuesday and Friday.

The children will be writing about the importance of Bees.  Learning about Sharks and writing facts, adding, subtracting, doubling and halving shark teeth, learning how sharks float, writing a message in a bottle, water colour shark and label, cutting and sticking sharks and more!

Please keep up with the reading and doodle maths at home.  You will have received new spellings today too.

Have a lovely weekend,
