25.4.16

Last week I was so impressed with the children’s attitudes towards the mock SATs tests that we sat.  This week we will be going through the papers with a fine toothcomb and I’ll be sitting with the children, on an individual basis, going through aspects of the paper with them and filling in the gaps to their knowledge where necessary.

For the next two weeks we will be revising maths, reading comprehension and spelling, grammar and punctuation in readiness.  Violet Class will be open, daily, at 8.30am for a revision session before school – I strongly encourage all children to attend.

If your child hasn't already done so, I would urge them to become part of our Edmodo class page - https://www.edmodo.com/home#/group?id=20394309

Group Code: cft7au

I am putting lots of videos on their to help them.

Home learning is based around revision and the children are expected to revise at least 20 minutes a night.  I would like them to complete the revision form and for you to sign it on their behalf.  I’ll be checking these and chatting to the children about them during the week.

I know this can be a stressful time for your child but we are making it as calm and relaxing as possible.  We will still be doing lots of other things during the week like music, PE, Golden Mile, Science, etc. This will ensure that the children continue to get a well-balanced curriculum.

If you have any questions or concerns then please don't hesitate to contact me.

Hope you had a relaxing weekend.

Mr Frankland,

Mrs Swan and Mrs Ryles
